Directive compliance

The LedSC controller complies with the essential requirements of the following European directives and harmonized standards to ensure electromagnetic compatibility, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Applicable Directives

The product meets the requirements of the following EU directives:

  • 2014/30/EU – Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive
  • Ensures that the device does not emit excessive electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  • Guarantees immunity to external electromagnetic disturbances.
  • 2011/65/EU – Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive
  • Ensures compliance with hazardous substance restrictions, including lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), and other restricted materials.
  • Fully compliant with RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863).

Harmonized Standards

The LedSC controller has been designed according to the following harmonized standards:

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

  • EN 55035:2017 + A11:2020 – Immunity requirements against electromagnetic disturbances.
  • EN 61000-6-1:2019 – Immunity in residential and light industrial environments.
  • EN 61000-6-3:2007 + A1:2011 + AC:2012 – Emission limits for residential and light industrial applications.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and EMC

  • EN 61000-4-2:2009 – Electrostatic discharge (ESD) immunity.
  • EN 61340-5-1:2016 – Protection of electronic devices against electrostatic phenomena (recommended for manufacturing and handling).

Safety and Environmental Compliance

  • EN 62368-1:2020 – Safety requirements for IT and AV equipment (not mandatory but recommended).
  • EN 50581:2012 – Documentation for the assessment of electrical and electronic products with respect to RoHS.

Declaration of Conformity

A Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available upon request, confirming compliance with the above directives and standards.
